The United Kingdom, France and Germany have repeated “great concern” over the Israeli law that prohibits communication between its officials and the United Nations.
The Palestinian Relief Agency (UNRWA) has warned at the head of the ban.
UNRWA has provided more than seven decades of assistance and basic assistance to Palestinian refugees.
UNRWA leader Philip Lazarini described the organization as the “lifestyle” of about six million Palestinian refugees under her marginalization in Gaza and the occupied West Bank.
Israel accused UNRWA of providing a hood, a claim that the agency has strongly denied. UNRWA staff also accused them of being part of the October 7 attack. Israel did not provide evidence of its claims and accusations.
After that, he approved legislation that cuts relations with the agency, which entered into force on Thursday, a step that is likely to hinder its vital services 15 months after the war in Gaza.
The agency has been banned from working on Israeli soil and communicating between it and Israeli officials is also prohibited.
“If UNAO is not allowed to continue bringing and distributing supplies, the fate of a very fragile ceasefire will be in danger and will be in danger.” Business on Friday.
UNRWA has issued the warning as the United Kingdom, France and Germany reiterated their “great concern” about the ban of Israel.
“We urge the government of Israel to work with international partners, including the United Nations, to ensure the continuity of operations,” said the joint statement from the three countries, published by the British government.
In a statement, UNRWA spokesman Jonathan Fowler admitted that the organization is now working in a “nightmare scenario”.
Fowler said that UNRWA has 5,000 employees still working in Gaza as the “backbone of the international aid process” and their work may be at risk due to the situation.
“Our biggest fear is that there is no plan B.
Stefan Dujarrik, a spokesman for United Nations President Antonio Guterres, insisted earlier that despite the ban, “UNRWA clinics across the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem, are open.”
Gabriel Ellisndo of the island, who was reported by the United Nations headquarters in New York, while UNRWA continues, said Israel has not found visas for at least ten agency workers.
After the law entered into force, Norway announced that it would contribute at $ 24 million to the agency.
“Gaza is in ruin, and UNRWA assisted is more necessary than ever.”
Turkiye condemned the Israeli move as “a flagrant violation of international law” and said that it “represents a new stage in the occupation and Israeli policies that aim to remove the Palestinians by force from their lands.”
On Wednesday, the Israeli Supreme Court rejected a petition from the Palestinian Human Rights Group, which is competing for the embargo, but indicated that the legislation is only prohibited from the operations of the “sovereign lands in the state of Israel”, and not in Gaza and the West Bank it occupied.
However, the ban applies to East Jerusalem, where UNRWA has a field headquarters for its operations in the West Bank.
In response, Adala said that the law will come into effect “to ignore the catastrophic human consequences.”
