Pakistan, who are also defense champions, in Group A for the Champions Cup. India, New Zealand and Bangladesh are the other three teams in the group. Men in Green will open the Champions Cup against New Zealand on February 19 in Karachi.

Mohamed Rizwan will lead the Pakistan division in the upcoming International Criminal Champions Cup. The Wikit goalkeeper was named as the ODI captain in Pakistan last year and the team led the famous series in Australia and South Africa.
As expected, the young opening match, Saim Ayoub, was not named in the Pakistan squad, as it continues to recover from the ankle injury he suffered during the Cape Town test against South Africa earlier this month.
“We understand the amount of what he was looking for to the ICC 2025 Champions Cup and realize how destroyed it must be absent from a global event, especially when it is in the form of an exceptional beating,” the committee explained.
“However, as a valuable asset to our team, we are committed to giving priority to its long -term health in making any excited decisions,” he added.
Abdullah Shafik also failed to find a place in the Pakistan squad after his last struggle with the bats. With Ayoub and Abdullah’s exit, Fakhara Zaman was called to the Pakistan squad and could open the roles for the team at the pavilion event.
“Fakhar’s opening partner can be either Babar AZAM or Saud Shakel, depending on various factors such as circumstances, opposition and the strategy of the match,” said Shaud Shakel.
He added: “Both players are very able at the top of the request, as Babar was particularly seasoned in this role, and it opens regularly in T20is and also excels in the Cape Town test by registering half of two tablets in the absence of Saim Ayoub.”
