The Ministry of Health said that at least 158 people were wounded in a Saturday attack on which he was blamed for the RSF.
Khaled Al -Alaidir, Minister of Culture and Government, condemned the attack, saying that the losses included many women and children. He said that the attack caused widespread destruction.
“This criminal act adds to the bloody record of this militia,” he said in a statement. “It is a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law.”
Witnesses said that the artillery shelling came from West Omdorman, where RSF remains in control, and was supported by drones.
A resident of the south in Omndorman told Agence France -Presse that RSF was shooting in multiple streets at one time, adding that “missile and artillery shells are falling.”
One of the survivors added: “The shells fell in the middle of the vegetable market, and for this reason there are many victims and wounded.”
The employees of the nearby Nio Hospital said that they were overwhelmed by the number of victims and that the wounded “are still brought to the hospital.” A hospital volunteer said they are in urgent need of “episodes, blood donors and resiliences to transport the wounded.”
In a separate incident in Khartoum, two civilians were killed and dozens were injured in an air attack on an RSF area, and Agence France -Presse transferred the local response room (ERR).
Err is one of the hundreds of volunteer committees throughout Sudan to coordinate emergency care.
The war broke out between the Sudanese army and RSF in April 2023 due to the integration of the two forces. She killed tens of thousands of people, expelled millions of their homes and half of the residents fell to hunger.
The attack on Saturday comes a day after the RSF commander, Mohamed Hamdan Daglo, pledged to restore the capital from the army.
He told the forces in the title of a rare video: “We (from Khartoum) had been expelled before, and we will put them back.”
Sudan’s army restored several bases in Khartoum last month, including its headquarters before the war, which increases RSF to the outskirts of the city.
The capital of Sudan has turned into a shell of its former itself, and tens of thousands were killed throughout the country due to violence.
The entire neighborhoods were emptied and the fighters have seized at least 3.6 million people from the capital, according to the United Nations.
At least 106,000 people who suffer from famine in Khartoum, according to the classification of uninterrupted integrated food security, are classified with 3.2 million people who suffer from the crisis levels of hunger.
