Malaysia says the forced resettlement of the Palestinians will be ethnic cleansing Israeli conflict news

The Foreign Ministry says it is “strongly opposed” to the displacement of the population from Gaza after Trump has developed a redevelopment plan.

Malaysia said it was “strongly opposed” to the resettlement of the forced Palestinians in Gaza after US President Donald Trump said that Washington will take over the pocket under an unusual redevelopment plan.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Malaysia said on Thursday that the forced displacement of the Palestinians will form ethnic cleansing and the violation of international law and multiple United Nations decisions.

“Any attempt, whether direct or indirect, to impose solutions from one side and a force that ignores the right of the Palestinian people to self -determination and violate their freedom is unacceptable and unjustified and will increase the deepening of one of the longest conflicts in the region.” The ministry said in a statement.

“Malaysia continues in solidarity with the people of Palestine. The only life that is viable for peace and permanent stability in the Middle East is through the establishment of an independent and sovereignty of Palestine, based on the borders before 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital.”

The ministry added that the international community should be united in a “reliable and permanent solution acceptable to the Palestinians”, and repeated its support for its diplomatic efforts to establish an independent Palestinian state.

In statements to Parliament later on Thursday, Foreign Minister Mohamed Hassan said that the resettlement of the proposed Palestinians in Gaza was “very supportive.”

“The Palestinian people themselves have mentioned that they will not leave their homeland. Malaysia’s support for Palestine is not temporary. We have long supported their struggle for an independent state.

Malaysia, where about two -thirds of the population is Muslims, has no diplomatic relations with Israel, and it has long been a strong supporter of the Palestinian issue.

Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim opposed the War of Israel loudly in Gaza, supported the issue of the genocide of South Africa against the country in the International Court of Justice as well as its calls to expel it from the United Nations.

The Malaysian leader also rejected the western pressure to cut ties with Hamas, the Palestinian group that rules Gaza.

Trump’s proposal to assume and “special” Gaza was rejected by Palestinian organizations, including Hamas, the Palestinian Authority and the Palestine Liberation Organization, and was widely criticized by the international community.

On Wednesday, members of the Trump administration, including Foreign Minister Marco Rubio, seemed to have retracted the proposals, saying that any resettlement of the Palestinians would take place on a temporary basis during the rebuilding of Gaza.
