More than 133 million Americans (40 %) suffer from at least one chronic disease in 2022, according to data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
The list of chronic diseases is at the forefront of heart disease, cancer, stroke, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and diabetes.
Dr. Asim Malhotra, a cardiologist and public health campaign in London, believes that a large part of what provides all these conditions is foods on Americans’ paintings.
Make America healthy again: What do you know about the movement?
“I think you cannot repair health care or health care without repairing food,” he said in an interview with a camera with Fox News Digital.

Studies have shown that only one of every eight Americans has perfect metabolic health, which Malhotra defines as “the state of the body’s balance that maintains the storage and burning of fats for energy.”
In his best -selling book, “21 -day immunity plan”, Malhotra wrote that metabolism is measured using five signs.
These include blood glucose levels, blood pressure, waist surroundings, cholesterol appearance (triglycerides in the body, a type of harmful fat in the blood), and high -density lipoprotein (useful molecule for cholesterol).
The expert says: “Foods intended from God” are the key to America’s health
“A person is a metabolic syndrome when he fails to meet three of these optimal values,” he wrote. “For example, a person with high blood pressure, high blood glucose and triglycerides can be considered at the risk of health problems.”
Malhotra warned that the weak metabolic health is directly related to the development of heart disease, type 2 diabetes and stroke.
Improvements can occur within only 21 to 28 days, according to Malouttra – purely from changing eating habits. (Istock)
It also exposes people to the risk of cancer and dementia, as well as complications from infections.
Malhotra said that the worst things that someone can do for their metabolic health is to eat a high diet in high foods, sugar and other low -quality carbohydrates, such as products based on flour, rice and pasta.

To improve metabolism health, recommend eating full foods, avoid the above foods, maintain activity and reduce stress through yoga, or Pilates, meditate or even embrace close friends and loved ones regularly.
Improvements can occur within only 21 to 28 days, according to Malouttra – purely from changing eating habits.

He said: “This means getting rid of super foods and getting rid of what we call low-quality carbohydrates-refined bread, pasta, rice and potatoes.” “If you cancel it – I don’t say forever, but if you do it for four to six weeks, you will actually start reset your metabolic health.”
“Then, of course, you can get these foods from time to time.”

Malhotra, whose father taught him to cook when he was a teenager, said that improving metabolism does not mean that people cannot enjoy food.
“I love food like most people – it’s one of the greatest pleasures of life,” he told Fox News Digital. “I cook every day.”
“But I have the resources that I have to be able to afford healthy food as well, which is not owned by many people, and this is a real problem,” he added.
The best influencers in making America healthy again
In his daily diet, Malhotra avoids very treated foods – but they are not always this way. He refers to himself as “non -reformed food and sugar addict.”
“I was eating fast food all the time and a lot of sugar,” Share. “But when I realized that it was not good for me, I looked at the search. I turned very quickly and broke this addiction.”
The doctor pointed out that sixty percent of calorie consumption in the American diet comes from highly treated foods.

“These are industrial combinations consisting of five or more components, usually with additions and preservatives, and they mainly contain unhealthy oils and sugar. They lack fiber (and have) a lot of repeated carbohydrates.”
From the Malhotra point of view, the superior foods are “deliberately designed” by the food industry to make it “spreadable and may cause addiction.”

“I think this will be one of the most important things to be treated – how can we reduce the consumption of highly treated food while increasing the consumption of whole foods at one time?”
To accomplish this, Malhotra suggested taking lessons from tobacco control, which is believed to be very well.
