Paris It is the most visited museum in the world, but the administration, employees and visitors agree to the iconic Louvre Museum in Paris – House Leonardo da Vinchi Mia Lisa – In need of some dangerous TLC.
“We have problems with the building,” the Lawrence DS Cress director, director of the Lawrence DS Cars, admitted. She said that the issues are partially due to age, as the palace that includes the museum was initially built in the early thirteenth century.
“It is nine centuries of history, in the heart of Paris and in the heart of the history of France.”
But it is also a matter of maintenance. The last major renovation of the museum has been more than three decades, when the famous IM Pei architectural pyramid was added to be the main entrance.

When this entrance was opened in 1989, architects were planning about 4 million visitors annually. Last year, the Louvre attracted 9 million people, and officials hope to see that the annual foot rises to 12 million in the coming years.
To allow this increase, French President Emmanuel Macron announced last month an ambitious plan for a period of 10 years to renew and expand the museum. The plans include creating a new entrance on the eastern side of the building, to help manage visitors flow.
The main entrance, as the pyramid is simply a very small of overcoming the current number of visitors, not to mention the expected increase. The access point is small, the area below is limited, and in the summer it becomes very hot under all the glass. However, the Louvre pyramid will continue at the visitors’ access point.
The new entrance will be opened on the eastern courtyard of the museum, Couour Carrée, the plan is to expand down, and build new exhibitions under it. One of these exhibitions was allocated as a new house for the most famous Louvre Museum, The Mona Lisa.
If you ask people who stand in a line outside the museum more aspiring to see it, the vast majority will respond to “The Mona Lisa”.
“I have always wanted to see him, since I was young,” said Carlos from San Diego. “I am a great fan and this is one of the things I aspire to.”
“You can never get enough of it,” said Ella, who visited Canada, who was already to the Louvre Museum in several previous visits to Paris.
But as soon as the room in which Mona Lisa lives in, its global attractiveness means crowds wandering in a look at her mysterious face. The size of the small plate is often relatively shocking to visitors, some of whom left with the function of zooming on their smart phone cameras to take a closer look.

“It is a kind of global masterpiece,” says Dis Cars. “People want to spend time with her, and this is good. We need to organize it. But the Louvre Museum is full of 1000 Lasas.”
She says one of the goals of renewal is to improve visitors’ flow, so that people can find the groups they want to see more easily “and also discover the wonders of the Louvre Museum.”
Descars believes that the new main entrance will link the museum to the city around it in a more realistic way. “The pyramid is a wonderful piece of architecture,” she says. “But it is somewhat isolated in Paris, and not in direct contact with the city. The eastern entrance will allow us to communicate directly to the city, and therefore we believe it is an ideal balance for this unusual building.”

The ambitious renewal will take a total of 10 years: six years to expand and four other for the vital reforms of the building and promotions to the outdated technical facilities. The security system will also be updated to accommodate the constantly increasing numbers that pass through the museum doors.
The project is expected to cost about 800 million dollars. Macron promised that French taxpayers would not have to pay the bill – although government funds will cover the cost of $ 10 million for investigative studies and initial plans.
To help pay the price of all work, ticket prices will change – and visitors from outside the European Union will have to pay more next year. French and European taxes help finance public cultural institutions, and therefore the argument is that they are already paying the highest entry ticket, unlike visitors beyond places.
“He does not inhibit international tourism or punish anyone, but this is the reality of the economy,” said Desckers.
Lotvre also launched a fundraising campaign, hoping that the museum of the museum will open the wallets around the world, so that it can continue to stick to the first place, with adapting to times.
