(Reuters) – GROQ of Semiconductor Startup said on Monday that it had received a $ 1.5 billion commitment from Saudi Arabia to expand the delivery of advanced artificial intelligence chips to the country.
Groq, founded by a former alphabet, is famous for the production of intelligence inference chips that improve speed and implement the pre -trained models orders.
At the start of an existing agreement with Aramco Digital, the technology company of Oil Major Aramco, through which companies built a critical AI center in the region in December.
The commitment, which lacks specific details about the schedule or investment site, was announced at the Saudi Global Technology event, Leap 2025. In this event, the country received $ 14.9 billion in new AI’s investments.
In August, GROQ received an evaluation of $ 2.8 billion after collecting $ 640 million in a financing tour led by Cisco Investments, Samsung Catalyst Fund and Blackrock Private Equity Partners.
