Celtic confirmed that Kiran Turney will return to the club in July 2025.
Terney was linked to a return to Celtic during the January transfer window. This was not achieved, but director Brendan Rodgers confirmed last month that there was pre -treatment.
In the latest temporary financial report, which was published on Monday, Celtic confirmed that the full back had signed a pre -contract agreement and will return in July.
The report said, “During the transfer window in January 2025, we acquired the permanent registration of Jota and the temporary registration of Jeffrey Shrouk,” the report said.
“In addition, we expanded the Kasper Schmeichel contract and entered the pre -contract agreement that will witness the return of Kiran Turney to Celtic in July 2025. We got rid of the Kyogo Furuhashi records, Alexander Bernabe, and we put Louis Palma, Odin Halm, Stephen Wilsh on loan.”
Tierney increased through the Celtic Academy and played 170 games for the club before joining Arsenal in a deal worth 25 million pounds in 2017.
It has since continued to hold 129 games with Gunners in all competitions, scoring five goals and adding 13 assists.
Celtic Terney wanted in January
Sky Sports News Celtic was reported to be paid to sign Arsenal defender on loan in the transfer window in January, with the aim of completing the deal in the summer. However, Arsenal chose to keep Terney in the Emirates until the end of the 2024/25 campaign.
The 27 -year -old defender made five games with Gunners this season, but only one of these trips reached the first squad against Crystal Palace in the Carabau Cup.
The collars also allowed Alex Valle to cut off his loan from Barcelona short to join Serie A Como, where Jeffrey SchlupP was heading to the other direction of Palace to provide a cover in the left back.
