Hamas will delay the launch of more Israeli prisoners planned on Saturday “until another notice”, due to the Israeli violations of the ceasefire in Gaza, the Palestinian group.
Abu Obeda, a spokesman for the Hamas -Armed Wing – Briguz Qassam, said in a statement on Monday that the prisoners “will remain in their place until the occupied entity corresponds to previous obligations and compensates retroactively.”
Israel and Hamas are in the middle of the ceasefire for six weeks, with Hamas fired dozens of prisoners during October 7, 2023, compared to nearly 2000 Palestinian prisoners.
Abu Obida said that Israel had violated multiple parts of the multiple truce between the two sides.
He said, “During the past three weeks, the resistance leadership has monitored violations of the enemy and not complying with the conditions of the agreement,” he said.
“These violations include delaying the return of the displaced persons to northern Gaza, targeting them with limit and release in different areas of the Gaza Strip, and failed to allow the entry of relief materials in all models as agreed upon. At the same time, the resistance has fulfilled all its obligations.”
“The group’s commitment to the terms of the agreement as long as the occupation is committed to them.”
Israeli defense minister, Israel Katz, quickly responded to Hamas’s move, saying that the decision was “completely violating the ceasefire agreement.”
“The army has ordered) to prepare at the highest level of alerting any possible scenario in Gaza,” Katz said.
The two sides have conducted five immediately since the armistice entered into force last month, which led to the liberation of 21 Israelis and more than 730 Palestinians.
The next stock exchange was to be held on Saturday, as three Israeli prisoners were issued in exchange for hundreds of Palestinian prisoners.
Many Palestinian civilians were shot by the Israeli forces while they were returning to their homes.
Meanwhile, the number of Palestinian patients who were evacuated outside the tape, as well as the humanitarian aid trucks that entered Gaza were less than what promised to the ceasefire agreement.
The Declaration of Braya Qassam also comes in light of the latest statements made by US President Donald Trump, who raised concerns about the sustainability of the ceasefire.
Trump has repeatedly called for the purification of Gaza ethnicity, saying that the United States will take the “ownership” of the region.
The first stage of the deal ends on the first of March. The second stage, you will see all the prisoners and a permanent shooting. The third part of the agreement is supposed to be in a multi -year plan to rebuild the region.
Palestinian and political activist Mustafa Bragotti said that Israel violated the agreement in three ways: obstructing temporary housing and humanitarian aid, shooting people in Gaza and supporting Trump’s plan to purify Gaza ethnicity.
“Now more, Netanyahu is threatening to return to war, and declares that he will never stop the war,” Bragotti told Al -Jazeera.
“So what do they want – to restore all Israeli prisoners and then continue the massacres in Gaza? This is exactly the message that the Palestinians get.”
Netanyahu repeated last week that he was committed to achieving the goals of the war, including the destruction of military capabilities and the rule of Hamas.
Before Abu Obida’s statement on Monday, the chief official base in Hamas Naim said to the island that Israel did not fulfill its obligations under the agreement.
“In the past three weeks after signing the deal, we have been in very serious talks and negotiations with the mediators – the Egyptians, Qatar, and the United States – about daily violations by the Israelis in the deal.”
He pointed out that 25 Palestinians were killed and dozens were wounded by the Israeli forces after a ceasefire came into effect.
