Tiger Woods has announced that he will not play in Genesis Invitationalism this week, the tournament he hosts.
Woods Colitida’s mother died last week at the age of 78, as the previous world expresses his “heartbreak” when news is announced on social media.
“I planned to photograph it this week, but I am not ready,” said Woods, who was to appear his first appearance on this year’s PGA tour in Tori Pines, in a statement of X.
“I did my best to prepare, knowing that this is what my mother wants, but I am still treating her loss.
“Thanks to everyone who extended his hand. I hope to be in Tori later in the week and to appreciate the continuous kindness since my mother’s death.”
