The storm fermentes the culture of work in the technology industry in India after the San Francisco -based Varun Vummadi, co -founder and CEO of Giga ML, claimed that many Indian engineers who get 1 row or more unprepared in additional hours.
I noticed a pattern in the recruitment engineers of our Indian office. Even with a basic salary of 1 crores, many of them are unwilling to work hard. Fumadi wrote on X.
Iit khargpur graduates, which runs the AI AI, which focuses on customer service automation, has expressed his frustration with what he considers a decrease in work ethics among Mediterranean engineers in India. His publication quickly sparked a hot discussion about the balance between work and life against the culture of crowding.
Fumadi’s comments divided the users on X, as many argue that the employees would work six days a week, regardless of the salary, is unreasonable.
“You can’t buy hindering people. They appreciate money, do not worship him!” She replied one user, Fumadi replied, “You can’t buy in SF. But you can in India. Most of the bracket engineers in India are highly driven by high salaries.”
Another user, Aman, indicated that it is normal for professionals in the mid -twenties to the early thirties to prefer the weekend for two days. “A strange way to the phrase that many children between the ages of 26 and 32 prefer to spend the weekend. It looks very natural for me.”
Some went further, accused Fumadi of being a type of employer who gives priority to profit for the employee’s welfare. “People finally realize the importance of determining health priorities above all.”
The controversy follows similar discussions on a balance between work and life in the corporate sector in India. Recently, the Chairman of the Board of Directors topped the headlines of the newspapers to mention that employees should be ready to work on Sunday, a suspension of violent reactions as well.
One of the users called Rishika Gupta has taken a more practical approach, and wondering why Fumadi was not thinking about an alternative: “Why don’t you employ engineers and expect reasonable hours of work?”
