Officials said that Russian forces fired rockets in the center of the port of Odessa in Ukraine, Ukraine, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and a dangerous historical buildings and seven people. Ukraine President Voludmir Zelinski said the attack was a “deliberate blow.”

- Ukraine said it believed that the North Korean soldiers fighting alongside the Russian army on the confrontation line in Kursk had “withdrawn” after suffering heavy losses. Pyongyang is believed to have deployed more than 10,000 soldiers to support the Russian forces fighting against Ukraine.
- Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda said in an interview with Associated Press news agency that any peace settlement in Ukraine should include Kiev. He also urged more defensive spending by regional states to deter Russian aggression in the future.
