US President Donald Trump said that the United States will “take over” and “possess” Gaza as part of a plan to convert the pocket to “Riviera in the Middle East.”

When asked whether US soldiers could be sent to Gaza to maintain security, Trump said it was a possibility.
“With regard to Gaza, we will do what is necessary. If necessary, we will do so.”
Democratic lawmakers immediately doubted Trump’s proposal.
