Trump ordered the freezing of assets and the travel ban against international criminal court officials, employees and members of their families.
President Donald Trump has slapped sanctions against the International Criminal Court (ICC), accused of Israel and the United States.
The American leader signed an executive command late Thursday that puts financial restrictions and visa on the international criminal court staff and anyone who helps in the international criminal court investigations against the United States and its allies.
The White House said that ICC is accused of “illegal and non -baseless measures that target America and our close ally Israel.”
This step coincided with the visit of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to the United States. In November, the International Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant in favor of Netanyahu, as well as former Israeli Defense Secretary Yov Galet and a senior Hamas official, accusing war crimes in the war in Gaza.
Trump’s order stated that the court, which is based in The Hague, “misunderstood its authority” by issuing the orders of the Israelis.
The White House defined Israel as “a democratic state whose army is strictly committed to the laws of war.”
“The measures taken by the International Criminal Court against Israel and the United States have developed a dangerous precedent,” and continued, accusing the International Criminal Court of “the malicious behavior that threatens to violate American sovereignty and undermine national security and foreign policy.”
The names of the targeted individuals were not launched immediately, but the previous sanctions that were issued during the first period of Trump were aimed at the public prosecutor and its assistant who conducted an investigation into the alleged war crimes by American forces in Afghanistan.
The International Criminal Court said that the matter seeks to “harm its independent and fair judicial actions,” and pledged “to continue to provide justice and hope for millions of innocent victims all over the world.”
He added: “We call for 125 states from the states, civil society and all countries of the world to stand united for justice and basic human rights.”
The move also sparked expressions of warning from all over the world.
European Council President Antonio Costa said the sanctions “undermine the international criminal justice system as a whole.”
The punishment for the International Criminal Court threatens the independence of the court and undermines the international criminal justice system as a whole.

The Netherlands, the host country of the International Criminal Court, said it “regrets” the matter, declaring that the court’s work “is necessary in combating impunity.” Amnesty International described the “reckless” step.
The sanctions are a support of support after Netanyahu’s visit to the White House, as Trump announced a plan for the United States to “take over” Gaza and transfer the Palestinians to other Middle East countries.
Legal experts and legal experts said the plan will be illegal under international law. The forced displacement is also a crime under the ruling Rome Law in the International Criminal Court.
The 125 -member International Criminal Court is a permanent court that can prosecute individuals due to war crimes, crimes against humanity, genocide, and aggression against the lands of member states or by their citizens.
The United States, China, Russia and Israel are not members.
Israel praised the required sanctions on the so -called “International Criminal Court”. Foreign Minister Jadaoun said on X that the actions of the International Criminal Court are “immoral and have no legal basis.”
