The Israeli air strike kills six in eastern Lebanon amid a fragile ceasefire news

Israel is targeting the drone of the Shara region in the eastern Becca region.

An Israeli air strike killed six people and two wounded in eastern Lebanon amid a fragile ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah.

The National News Agency in Lebanon reported that a drone targeted the Shara area, near the city of Jenina, in the East Becca, on Saturday.

The Israeli army issued a statement saying that the targets are what it claimed to be Hezbollah agents “within a site to produce and store strategic weapons.”

“The activities inside the site are a flagrant violation of understanding between Israel and Lebanon,” in reference to the ceasefire agreement on November 27, which led to the stopping of the conflict between the Israeli army and Hezbollah.

Since the deal entered into force, Israel has continued in military action against what it says is Hezbollah sites.

While the agreement called for a 60 -day implementation period ending January 26, Israel delayed the withdrawal of its forces from southern Lebanon, claiming that the agreement was not fully implemented by Lebanon.

According to the truce conditions, the Lebanese army will deploy alongside the United Peace Conservation Forces in the south, and replace Hezbollah forces.

Israel also launched a wave of attacks in the eastern Becca Valley, and is usually considered the stronghold of Hezbollah. On January 31, at least two people were killed as the Israeli army claimed that it struck Hezbollah’s multiple targets near the border with Syria.

Hezbollah official, Ibrahim Moussaoui, condemned the air strikes at the time, describing them “a very serious violation and a flagrant and frank aggression,” calling for Lebanon to stop Israel’s ongoing attacks.
